Numbers 9  Two years had passed since Israel left Egypt.  It was time to celebrate the Passover.  Two things to note...

First, there was a group that were unclean because of a death.  They wanted to observe the passover but knew they couldn't, so they went to ask Moses and Aaron..   Note what Moses said, " Wait, so I can hear what Adonai will order... "   He didn't rush into a decision, but waited on the Lord!  Oh how we need to do that more often!

Second, Moses describes how the Lord would lead them through the wilderness.  "At the order of Adonai, the people of Israel traveled; at the order of Adonai, they camped; and as long as the cloud stayed over the tabernacle, they stayed in camp."

Our God is in control!  What a wonderful thing to remember as we travel through this "wilderness" of life.. especially this unknown landscape caused by the coronavirus.  Like Moses, let us wait to hear from the Lord and let us move when He says move.. and stay when He says stay.

Right now, many of us are staying home. Let us use this time to wait.. so we can also hear God's voice.  That takes me back to John 14:1 "Don't let yourselves be disturbed. Trust in God and trust in Me." Jesus tells us.

Let us remember:

"The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade on your right hand.  The sun will not smite you by day, nor the moon by night.  The Lord will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in from this time and forever."

Father we are in Your Hands and we wait upon you!  Thank you for holding us! Amen.
