Psalm 22 is known as a Messianic psalm, for it foretells the crucifixion of our Lord.  Yet it is also a prayer of David in a time of great need.  As we read it we can remember again that Jesus, God Himself came, not only to die for us, but to suffer for us.. that He might suffer with us.

"For He has not despised not abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither has He hidden His face from him. but when he cried to Him for help, He heard."

No matter what trial or affliction we are going through, (or have gone through, or will be going through)... our Lord wants us to look to Him.   " The afflicted shall eat and be satisfied; Those who seek Him will praise the Lord."
We will praise Him because He answers our cries.
He shows up when we seek Him.
He cares about us more than we can imagine.
We praise Him because the "kingdom is the Lord's, and He rules over the nations." He CAN move mountains.  He can solve problems. He can restore us and reconcile us and lead us and deliver us!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, don't trust your own understanding... lean on Him!
Commit your ways to Him and He will direct your path.
Believe it, claim it. and rest in this truth.

I extol You, my God, my King!
I will bless Your Name forever and ever!
Great is the Lord and worthy of all my praise.
Your greatness, O Lord, is unsearchable!
You are gracious and merciful and Your mercies are over all Your works.
And we, Your works, thank You and bless Your Name.
Amen
