Hebrews 9  This chapter compares the original covenant to the new covenant in regards to the tabernacle. The original tabernacle prepared by Moses who adhered to God's commands.  It was a copy of the real thing,,, and the REAL thing is "not of this creation"..(v11)

Jesus "entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle".  He entered through "His own blood", not through blood of animals. He entered "the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption"... not needing to suffer over and over.

"Once for all..."  The perfect High Priest. The perfect sacrifice. The perfect covenant. The perfect Redeemer.  "...so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him." (v28) 

Father in heaven, we await the Day of Christ's glorious appearing.  We are listening for the sound of the trumpet and the fulfillment of all the promises of God.  We pray that more people will come to put their faith in You, through Jesus Christ, for it is in Him that we find repentance and forgiveness of sins. It is in Jesus that we have hope of eternal glory. It is in Jesus, our great High Priest, that we live and love and worship at Your throne. Cleanse our consciences from "dead works" that we might "serve the living God" with all our hearts and minds and strength. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
