Isaiah 65:17-24  This description of the new heavens and the new earth is what we have been made for and what we look forward to.. "and the former things shall not be remembered or come to mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem for rejoicing." 

No more tears. 

No more loss.

No more failure. 

No more enemies.

"It will also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking I will hear.." 

"They shall do no evil or harm in all My holy mountain, says the Lord." 

Today, when sadness and sorrow fill many of our hearts.. when worry knocks on our doors.. when hope wants to hide.. we turn our eyes to the One who sits on the throne and reveals to us a blessed future.. "for His grace continues forever" (Psalm 136) 

Father in heaven, we give thanks to You, for You are good. You are God of gods and Lord of lords. You alone do great things.  You made the heavens and the earth and You will make a new heaven and earth that will surpass everything that will pass away.  We "give thanks to the God of heaven for His grace continues forever."  Encourage our hearts with these truths, dear Lord.  Fill  us with Your Holy Spirit that we might walk in Your Light and rejoice in Your Love. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for Your great gift of salvation, and that we can come into the presence of the Father in Your Name. Amen.
