Isaiah 54  How great is the compassion of our God! He displays His great love for His people.  Their sin had sent them away from Him.. but His compassion causes Him to gather them back to His Presence. 

"For your husband is your Maker, Whose name is the Lord of hosts; and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel, who is called the God of all the earth..... with everlasting lovingkindness I will have compassion on you. says the Lord your Redeemer." 

How thankful we are, that though we were separated from our Lord, He made a way.. called us back to Himself, Redeemed us.. by His powerful Hand. His compassions fail not. 

The promise of eternity with our Lord is more than we can fathom with our limited thinking. But, we cling to His promises with hope and put our trust in Him. 

Father, these days have been difficult. My heart has been grieving. Yet, I have known Your compassion and lovingkindness. I have known Your promises and have been reassured of Your great love and power to save.  Your hand is not too short that it cannot ransom .  You have the power to deliver. In this Word I have hope.  Keep us in Your perfect peace as we trust in You.  Be glorified in us, Your servants, we pray. Amen.
