James 1:18-21  By God's will.. He "brought us forth by the word of truth".  As John wrote, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." ( John 1:12-13)

Lust gives birth to sin, leading to death.  But, the Word of Truth gives birth to new creations..children of God.  The "first fruits among His creatures."  The complete Jewish Bible writes it this way.. "Having made His decision, he gave birth to  us through a Word that can be relied on." 

Therefore... know this..".. let everyone be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger." 

As new creations, children of God.. tested, tried, and enduring.. we ask for and receive His wisdom, that wisdom from above- which is pure, peaceable, gently, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering and without hypocrisy.  We live according to the Truth.. which means:

 We listen carefully.. heeding the truth; 

We watch what we say, restraining our lips ( Proverbs 10:19 and 17:27);  

And, we don't allow anger to control our actions.. "For " the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God". ( James 1:20) He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty.." (Prov.16:32)  

Living according to His Truth we put "aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility [we] receive the word implanted, which is able to save [our] souls." v21 

Receive the Word -  let it be engrafted..germinated.. and grow up in you... producing Life .. fruit- filled Life that glorifies the Son, who is the Living Word who became flesh.. 

Father in heaven, You are the Giver of Life.. both physical life and spiritual Life that comes from the Word implanted in us by Your will. How great is Your Love, that You would send us the Word, who became flesh and dwelt among us.. so that as many as receive Him have the right to be called Your children. Awesome.. astounding.. amazing!  Praise and thankfulness rise up in our hearts! You are our Salvation. You are our God.. who is like You? No one! May we live according to Your Truth, with wisdom.. and by the power of Your Holy Spirit who lives in us. We ask this according to Your will, in the name of and to the glory of..  Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
