Exodus 15  Moses and all of Israel broke out in a new song.. "I will sing to the Lord, for He is highly exalted; the horse and its rider He has hurled into the sea." 

They praised and exalted the Lord for His strength and for His salvation. They proclaimed Him to be a "warrior".. "The Lord is His name."!  They had learned so much about the Lord through this amazing miracle...they learned of His majesty.. of His excellent greatness.. of His majestic holiness.. and of His lovingkindness towards them. 

They learned what it meant to be the people of God.. redeemed.. purchased.. and eventually planted "in the mountain of Thine inheritance." 

Yet.. three days later.. there was no water and they grumbled. 

The Lord "tested them"... He gave them a "statute and a regulation.. "  And,  He told them, "If you will give earnest heed to the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in His sight, and give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians, for I, the Lord, am your healer." (v26)  This is His promise. 

Father in heaven, we are giving heed to Your voice.. desiring to do what is right in Your sight... listening to Your commands and trusting in You.  Be our help and be our healer too.  Help us to know You in deeper and greater ways.. and to exalt and honor Your Name in all we do. We ask this in the name of our Redeemer, Jesus Christ, Amen.
